Building Bridges at Peninsula Bridge by Diana C.

On career day students got to go to DPR Construction to learn the development of buidings. Now, DPR Construction has come to Peninsula Bridge at Crystal Springs to teach 8th graders how to build bridges. Students have learned about different bridges such as the beam bridge, truss bridge, cantilever bridge, arch bridge, suspension bridge, and the cable-stayed bridge. 8th graders are planning to design different bridges and are going to construct a bridge out of popsicle sticks. In a few days, the students will test each bridge to determine which is the strongest.
